Being not only a director of a company, but also a computer scientist to some extent I sometimes have to write papers / publish in journals.

I have always found the modern system in science extremely bureaucratic and slow. Imagine trying to push an innovative computer science paper to journals which would take 3 months to review (and have to submit to one journal at a time). And after a year or two who needs your ‘innovative’ idea?

That is partly reason why I’m doing business, to earn enough money and invest into particular research topics I believe are extremely important for humanity, without bloody red tape and government money flushed down the toilet.

Anyway, here are some helpful links if you’re to publish a paper, there is a ‘call for papers’ concept, when there is a new journal or special issue. I believe it’s much easier to submit paper there when your respond to their specific call (provided that your paper fits, of course). So here are the links I use:

• http://feeds.feedburner.com/ComputerScienceNewsFeedFromElsevier/ – here is a very convenient RSS feed from Elsevier featuring Computer Science News including Calls For Papers
• http://www.wikicfp.com/ – a whole wiki with CFPs, very convenient interface to browse and share and there is also an RSS feed
• http://www.researchraven.com/calls-for-papers-publications.aspx – this resource if mostly focused on medicine, but there are also many computer science related journals / issues there
